Lanka Private Bus Owners Association confirmed today that they will launch a bus strike tomorrow in opposition to the increase of minimum fine for traffic offenses.

The fine was increased from Rs 500 to Rs 2500 by the 2017 Budget proposals.

Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake yesterday insisted that the increase of the fine will not be changed.
