National Freedom Front Leader Wimal Weerawansa appeared before the FCID today to record a statement concerning alleged financial irregularities while he was a Minister of the Mahinda Rajapaksa government.

Weerawansa had been summoned earlier this month. However, he requested a new date citing health reasons.
