The Joint Opposition says its members have not decided to support the party  ‘Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna’ which was initiated under the Chairmanship of Professor G.L. Peiris.

Leader of the Joint Opposition Parliamentarian Dinesh Gunewardene said the party will not support the ‘Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna’ party.

 He expressed this while commenting on the decision to revoke the Sri Lanka Freedom Party membership of Professor GL Peiris.

The ‘Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna’ was established on the 1st of November under the Chairmanship of Professor G.L. Peiris. Attorney Sagara Kariyawasam has been appointed the Secretary of the party.

The new party is represented by a symbol of a flower bud.
