Disabled armed forces veterans are continuing their protest for a fifth day near Colombo Fort Railway Station.

They demand that the veterans with service periods of less than 12 years be paid their pension.

The veterans launched this protest on October 31, after an earlier protest in July. On the earlier occasion, the government promised to address the issue in three months.
