Pandit W.D. Amaradeva was admitted to Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital ICU due to a sudden illness this morning.

Hospital staff took immediate measures to treat him upon admittance.

Amaradeva is considered to be the doyen of Sri Lanka's music field.
