Men who illegally drove with high beams in violation of traffic safety laws were forced to sit on chairs facing a high beam light as punishment on Nov. 1 in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, China.
In addition to administrative punishment, Shenzhen traffic police came up with the one-minute-long punishment to remind violators not to abuse their high beams on the road, the state-run People's Daily Online said.
Chinese traffic law bans the use of high beams when light is already sufficient. However, many drivers still use high beams at night, which can be life-threatening to other passengers and drivers.
