Due to a low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, showery weather and cloudy skies can be expected in most parts of the island.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.

Heavy falls (more than 100 mm) can be expected in some places particularly, in the Southern, Central, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and North western provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Southern, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Northern provinces.Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 pm.
