The UNP is committed to carry out the recommendations of the COPE on the Central Bank bond scam, UNP General Secretary and Minister of Public Enterprise Development Kabir Hashim said.

He made this observation at an event in Kegalle.

Hashim recalled that the UNP took the initiative to get an opposition MP elected as COPE Chairman. It will never protect wrongdoers, Hashim pledged.

He also insisted that the government will look into the malpractices under the previous Governor of Central Bank as well.
