The COPE report on the Central Bank bond scam was presented to the Parliament by the COPE Chairman Sunil Handunnetti a short while ago.

The UNP earlier planned to introduce an alternative report to that of COPE Chairman Sunil Handunnetti. The COPE Chairman said that it was an attempt to save Mahendran from the blame for the bond scam. However, later the UNP members of the COPE said that a unanimous report will be presented to Parliament today.

Former Governor Mahendran left the country yesterday.
