Carlton Sports Network Chief Rohan Welivita vowed to fight back the decision by the Media Ministry to cancel the terrestrial licence of the CSN through legal grounds.

Speaking to the media yesterday, he said that the issuing of the licences is done by the TRC. However, TRC does not know about this cancelling, he said.

Furthermore, Welivita said that the Media Ministry hs cancelled the licence unilaterally. No charges were informed to the CSN, he said.

The CSN paid more than Rs 330 million as income tax between 2011 and 2015, Welivita added.
