The son of State Minister Palitha Range Bandara and the other person arrested for a fatal accident last evening, were released on bail by the Anamaduwa Magistrate's Court.

They were released on a cash bail of Rs 15,000 and two sureties of Rs 100,000 each.

Range Bandara's son Yashodha Niranjan Range Bandara and the other individual, Nilantha Pradeep Ranatunga, were arrested last night for the accident in which a 42-year-old individual died. The vehicle they traveled in collided with a bicycle yesterday afternoon along the Anamaduwa - Kurunegala Road.

The vehicle fled the scene of the accident.

Ranatunga has admitted that he was driving the vehicle.

The Magisterial Inquiry was set for December 5.
