President Maithripala Sirisena will be leaving for Iran later next month or early December, Iran's Mehr News Agency said.

He will meet with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran.

The two presidents met two weeks ago in the backdrop of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Summit in Bangkok.

In this meeting President Sirisena stressed his country’s firm commitment to expanding relations with Iran in all areas, saying his country attaches great significance to development of ties with the Islamic Republic.
