Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne confirmed that the Gazette notification on the reduction of 48 essential drugs will be issued at midnight today.

At a recent press briefing, Senaratne said that prices of drugs used for diabetes, high blood pressure, bronchial asthma, high cholesterol, ischemic heart disease, gastrointestinal ailments, hormone disorders and common psychiatric problems will be reduced.
