The Socialist Youth Union affiliated to the JVP said yesterday that they will file a complaint against Minister Sajith Premadasa with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption based on the recently leaked video showing him recommending different applicants for jobs based on their height and whether they have worked for his election campaign.

Speaking to the media, SYU National Organizer Eranga Gunasekara said that the minister had no basis to recommend people for jobs based on their height or other attributes. Furthermore, he questioned as to how the minister could recommend only his supporters for jobs.

Gunasekara said that this was the first occasion in which concrete evidence of such practices by a minister was released to the public.
