Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Jaffna MP M. A. Sumanthiran says duties and responsibilities regarding the new constitution is done by 90%. MP said this while addressing the central committee meeting of Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi held at TNA office, Vavuniya yesterday.

He further said that not only TNA but also 21 Parliament committees and 07 sub committees which are appointed to lead the parliament on the preparation of the new constitution also have finished the majority of the work and the first draft of the new constitution will be presented within two months. 

Since many politicians are looking forward to use information for political gain, committees are hesitant to share the decisions made, he further mentioned.

MP rejected the allegations regarding less involvement of the new government and committees in the process of preparing the new constitution.
