President Maithripala Sirisena has ordered for a special probe into the recent night club brawl allegedly involving his son Daham Sirisena, Deputy Media Minister Karunaratne Paranawithana said.

The clash took place at around 2.00 a.m. - 2.30 a.m. on October 8 when a group assaulted the the Clique Club, injuring one and damaging the property.

It was alleged that Daham Sirisena led the mob which also consisted of some PSD members.

However the club later said that no son of a VIP was involved in the attack.

Meanwhile it was reported yesterday that there was no police complaint over the incident, which made it impossible for the police to investigate the matter.
