Cricketer Ramith Rambukwella pleaded guilty for all five charges including drunk driving when he appeared before Colombo Traffic Magistrate Chandana Kalansooriya today.
The Cinnamon Gardens Police filed five charges against him including reckless driving, not avoiding an accident, drunk driving, driving an unregistered vehicle and displaying a fake number plate. He had been arrested last month following an accident at the Independence Avenue, Colombo 7.
When the case was first heard on September 27, Rambukwella pleaded guilty to only the first two charges.
The Additional Magistrate today fined Rambukwella a total of Rs 29,000 for the five charges. His passport was also released.
