Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe will arrive India today on a three-day visit. He left for India from Wellington after concluding his New Zealand visit. The Premier is scheduled to held talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and several senior Ministers.
The Sri Lankan delegation led by the Prime Minister will also attend the Indian Economic Forum which commences in New Delhi on Thursday under the direction of the World Economic Forum.
He will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on tomorrow, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
His visit assumes significance as India last week pulled out of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) Summit that was scheduled to to be held in Islamabad in November citing Pakistan's sponsorship of terrorism in the region.
