Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi later this week, the Prime Minister's Office said.

Wickremesinghe's delegations will visit India on its way from New Zealand, to take part in the Indian Economic Summit.

The two prime ministers are to meet on the sidelines of the economic summit.

Thier meeting comes amidst the talks on the Economic and Trade Cooperation Agreement between the two countries and only a few days after Sri Lanka decided to boycott the SAARC summit in Islamabad, Pakistan.
