The exhumation of the remains of former Sunday Leader Editor Lasantha Wickrematunge got underway this morning under heavy police protection at Borella Cemetery.

The site was covered in black sheets and the journalists were kept out of the cemetery.

However, a drone camera flew over the site of the exhumation, apparently taking pictures of the incident. The police ran towards the journalists but were unable to locate the drone or the owner.

Wickrematunge's remains are exhumed on a court order issued by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court.
