"As a government that values reconciliation, we will not yield to any extremis acts and will not agree to remove Army camps in the Northern Province as some extremist groups demand" said the State Minster of Defence, Ruwan Wijewardene.

State Minister Wijewardene made this remarks while speaking to media after the inauguration ceremony of the Junior Cadet Training Course at the National Cadet Corps (NCC) training centre in Rantambe on 25th.

Further speaking, State Minister also stated that the Government will go ahead with its reconciliation process and will not hesitate to fearlessly stand against the demands and challenges posed by extremist political groups.
