The two-day South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Seminar aimed at creating a "SAARC Nations anti-corruption forum" begins in Islamabad today.
The experiences gained in this regard will be exchanged at the event. Head of the National Accountability Bureau of Pakistan, Qamar Zaman Chaudhry said the forum will therefore help the regional countries to work collectively to eradicate corruption.
It has been the major obstacle the countries have faced when achieving economic progress and prosperity. It has also been decided to set up a “SAARC nations' anti-corruption forum”. Chairman of the Bribery Commission former Justice T.B. Weerasooriya will represent Sri Lanka at the conference.
