A group of UNP backbenchers have demanded the Prime Minister to order inquiries into alleged frauds carried out during the term of former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal.

Through a letter, they call on the Prime Minister to order inquiries into thirteen allegedly fraudulent transactions in the Central Bank during Cabraal's term as Governor from 2006 to 2015.

They have made the request yesterday.
