World Children’s Day 2016, National Celebration will be held at St. Joseph Girls’ College, Kegalle under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Nearly 1,000 children will participate at this national event. It will have many programs aimed at children’s welfare. As well, the issuance of the commemorative stamp and flags selling campaign will also be held parallel to the celebration.

The Children’s Day celebration will be held with the objectives of uplifting the present condition of the young generation, and promoting and ensuring of their rights, safety and welfare.
