UPFA MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage was arrested by the CId a short while ago.

He was arrested after he arrived to give a statement to the CID this morning over allegations of money laundering.

Police sources say that a complaint has been received over the manner in which he funded the construction of a house in Kynsey Road, Colombo.
