A group of government doctors entered Isurupaya, the Education Ministry building, and stayed in the auditorium, demanding a discussion with the Education Minister on the dispute regarding alleged discrimination of their children in getting admission to government schools.

However, they stayed overnight since the minister did not appear for a discussion. The doctors still remain at the ministry.

Meanwhile the GMOA launched a token strike in Kurunegala, Kandy and Matara districts this morning. The strike will go on till noon today.
