The Value Added Tax will be introduced for private health services other than diagnostic tests, dialysis and OPD services, the government announced today.

In addition, tobacco products, telecommunications and airline tickets are also to be included for the VAT.

The Cabinet of Ministers have given its approval for the VAT amendments proposed to be implemented.
