Maldives Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim held a special discussion with the Sri Lankan Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne alongside the 69th WHO-SEARO held in Colombo recently.

The two ministers discussed in detail regarding the opening of educational opportunities for the Maldives medical students in Sri Lanka, giving a training for Maldives health employees in Sri Lanka, providing emergency drugs for Maldives from Sri Lanka, and sharing knowledge on establishing blood transfusion centers.

Minister Senarathne also received an invitation from Maldives to participate as the chief guest at a  special summit on non-communicable diseases to be held in Maldives.
