Police STF and special police teams have been deployed aroung Colombo High Court ahead of the announcement of the verdict of the Bharatha Lakshman murder trial.

Thirteen individuals including former MP Duminda Silva stand accused in the trial.

The case was heard by a trial-at-bar of Colombo High Court from October last year.

Premachandra was killed in a shooting on October 8, 2011. He was an adviser to the then President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the time of the murder.
