All the necessary steps will be taken for the protection of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and heavy security will be provided in foreign tours said Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

He said this answering MP Dinesh Gunawardena at the parliament yesterday. Wickremesinghe further mentioned that government is on high alert regarding the former president’s security.

Prime Minister further stated that he has no objection on Mahinda Rajapaksa participating in politics.
