Avant-Garde Maritime Services Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi and Maj. General Palitha Fernando were arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption a short while ago.

They were arrested after they had appeared before the commission to record a statement.

The Bribery Commission recently filed a case against Senadhipathi, Fernando, former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and several others over the floating armory operated by the company.
