A video which apparently shows the attack on the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Malaysia has surfaced on social media.

The attack which took place yesterday was condemned by the Sri Lankan government in the strongest of terms.

High Commissioner Ibrahim Ansar was assaulted after he had accompanied several parliamentarians including Ministers Daya Gamage and Anoma Gamage to the Kuala Lumpur Airport. The parliamentarians had been in Malaysia to attend the conference of Asian Political Parties.

Firmer President Mahinda Rajapaksa was also in Malaysia at the time of the incident.
