If others ended the way as they claim to have, why are the pro-LTTE groups still coming after him, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa asked at a gathering in Malaysia.
Speaking to the press after meeting with Sri Lankans in Malaysia, he referred to the recent attack on a monk in Malaysia and the protests against him by pro-LTTE groups.
'If I did not end the war, why are they coming only after me?' he inquired. He was referring to recent comments made by former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and others on the end of the war. Kumaratunga recently claimed that 75 percent of the war was ended by her.
Rajapaksa also said that he will not end his politics because of the threats of the pro-LTTE groups.
