Deputy Minister Palitha Thewarapperuma challenged Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe to repeat his statements on the recent brawl in Parliament from a public stage in Matugama, Agalawatte or Panadura electorates.
Speaking recently on the comments by Samarasinghe, Thewarapperuma said that the former was rejected by the civil society, of which he speaks of.
Samarasinghe recently said that the civil society would denounce the recent clash in the Parliament.
Thewarapperuma, in response, said that Samarasinghe hindered the upcoming politicians from Kalutara Ditrict while he was in the UNP. He was rejected by the people of the district and was gifted the membership of the Parliament and a Ministerial post, Thewarapperuma added.
He insisted that Samarasinghe cannot make such comments in public in the Kalutara District.
