The Government Medical Officers' Association will launch islandwide protests today against the police attack against medical students recently.

Police dispersed a protest against SAITM by medical students on April 28 at Lotus Road, Fort.

Meanwhile, All Ceylon Medical Officers' Association has claimed that some students passing out from SAIM are to be appointed as doctors without approval from the Sri Lanka Medical Council.
