JVP Accused Of Assaulting Opponents: Two FLSP Members Hospitalized

The Frontline Socialist Party said that two of its members were assaulted this morning in Polonnaruwa by supporters of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna.

In a media release, the party said that they were assaulted at around 4.30 in the morning while they were engaged in propaganda work for the upcoming May Day.

The two activists, R.K. Indrananda and P.K.D. Wijeratne have been admitted to Ward No 20 in Polonnaruwa General Hospital.

The Frontline Socialist Party accused the JVP of continuously disrupting its propaganda work during the past few days.

The JVP is not hindering the propaganda work of the right-wing parties while continuously hinder the propaganda work of the left-wing parties, the release said, adding that this was a clear sign of its opportunism.
