Sri Lanka Army has implemented strict quarantine measures at the Vidataltivu Army Camp in Mannar following a flu outbreak among its personnel.
According to the Army spokesperson, approximately 25 soldiers have contracted the flu, with several requiring hospitalization. One soldier has been transferred to the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH) for advanced treatment.
To contain the spread of the viral flu, Mannar health officials have quarantined nearly 500 soldiers within the camp.
The outbreak, which began on 11 November, is being closely monitored by health and military authorities to ensure effective containment and timely medical intervention, the Army Spokesperson said.
