Kaduwela Acting Magistrate Hemantha Wettasinghe today ordered suspects alleged of a financial fraud in CSN channel, including Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Nishantha Ranatunga to provide statements before FCID of Kolpetty police.

Magistrate ordered the suspects to provide statements before the Financial Crime Investigation Division of Kolpetty police within two weeks from May 3.

The court postponed the trial to May 5, and ordered the suspects to appear before the courts when notices issued.

Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s brother, Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa was present at the court. 

Yoshitha Rajapaksa and four others were arrested on January 30 regarding the alleged financial fraud at the CSN. They were later released on bail by Colombo High Court in March.
