Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang announced that Sri Lanka will be provided with a grant of 500 Million Yuan to symbolise the friendship between Sri Lanka and China, the Sri Lankan PM Office said.

This was informed by the Chinese Premier to the visiting Sri Lankan counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe during their discussions at the Great Hall of the People's in Beijing yesterday.

Their discussions were centered around trade links between the two countries.

Wickremesinghe also met with several other officials in China yesterday.
