Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe left for China on a three day official visit at this afternoon.
He led a 15 member delegation including Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera and traveled on board SriLankan Airlines Flight UL 860.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to be back in the island on Sunday.
Wickremesinghe is expected to hold discussions targeting Sri Lanka's investment opportunities with China. His visit comes several weeks after the government announced the recommencement of the Port City project.
