Uduwe Dhammaloka Thera was allowed to withdraw a Fundamental Rights petition he had filed with the Supreme Court, requesting an order against his arrest.
He filed this petition on February 25 seeking an injunction order against his possible arrest by the CID under the Public Properties Act.
However, since he was later arrested, Dhammaloka Thera's lawyers requested the petition to be withdrawn, pointing out that there was no basis to continue with the petition.
The Supreme Court considered the request and allowed the petition to be withdrawn.
