Trial of the murder case of Vidya Sivaloganadan of Punkudithivu has been assigned to Kytes District Judge A. M. M. Riyal.

The case was assigned to Riyal due to transfer of District Judge S. Leninkumar, the judge who was working on the case.

The case was tried yesterday under new judge.

The Judge ordered the suspects to be remanded until 25th January. Laboratory tests are to be held on several suspects.

Ten suspects are in custody in association with the girl’s rape and murder.
