UNP MP Hirunika Premachandra openly challenged a media station, warning that its owners 'and their brothers' will have to face the law in near future.
Updating a status on Facebook this evening, Premachandra said that this media station, Hiru TV, has attempted to challenge her through falsification, deceit and unethical media practices.
She also stated that she will fight back with truth, justice and the rule of law.
This media station is owned by a brother of a former UPFA MP Duminda Silva, who is among the accused for the murder of Hirunika Premachandra's father, Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra.
Premachandra recently lashed out at the same media station at a press conference convened by her, following the abduction of a youth in Dematagoda. She was arrested yesterday for alleged complicity in this abduction, and was released on bail.
