The Parliament will consider several amendments put forward to the resolution on the Constitutional Assembly, the Speaker informed today.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe presented the resolution to convert the Parliament into a Constitutional Assembly. However, several amendments have been suggested by the Joint Opposition and the JVP to this proposal.

Parliament will convene on January 12 to consider the amendments.
