Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa arrived at the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division this morning.

Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara told Asian Mirror that Rajapaksa arrived to give a statement over the alleged financial malpractices in the 'Divineguma Fund'.

Rajapaksa was arrested by the FCID over alleged malpractices in the Divineguma Fund in April 2015 and was in remand custody for several weeks.
