Former Minister and UNP Parliamentarian Abdul Cader passed away at a private hospital in Kandy today, at the age of 79.

Born on October 10, 1936, Abdul Cader represented Parliament from the Kandy District.

He was the Minister for Cooperatives in the 2001-2004 UNP government.
