President Maithripala Sirisena returned to the island a short while ago, concluding his trip to New York.

He left the country on September 24 to attend the 70th UN General Assembly at UH Headquarters in New York.

He addressed the General Assembly and also addressed several other conferences during his trip. Sirisena took the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with several regional and world leaders during his time in New York.
