The schoolboy who was arrested on alleged involvement in the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kotadeniyawa was admitted to the Gampaha Hospital last night, hours after his release.

The other individual who was also arrested along with the 17-year-old school boy was admitted to hospital too.

They were released yesterday based on DNA evidence since their DNA did not match to those at the crime scene.

The lawyers who represented the schoolboy told the Minuwangoda Magistrate that their client had been subjected to severe police assault while in detention.
