The first two suspects arrested over the murder of the five-year-old toddler in Kotadeniyawa was released today by the Minuwangoda Magistrate's Court.

The Magistrate today revealed that their DNA did not match with the samples taken at the crime scene. Therefore, they were ordered to be produced before the Magistrate and thereafter the Magistrate ordered their release.

The Police was severely criticized for the conduct regarding the arrest of a 17-year-old schoolboy for the murder. A petition was filed yesterday at the Human Rights Commission on behalf of him.
