A five member delegation led by Rear Admiral F.X. Agus Susilo S.E.M.M from the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia called on the Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff on September 28.
Head of the delegation was accompanied by Colonel Arif Harnanto, Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Sri Lanka.
Rear Admiral F.X. Agus Susilo S.E.M.M shared the concerns of the Indonesian Government on post conflict situation, rehabilitation and the need for a concerted effort to meet the challenge successfully. The delegation was given an overview of the recent situation, successful rehabilitation and resettlement effort made by the government aftermath of the counter insurgency campaign.
The Indonesian delegation acknowledged the inputs and expressed their desire to benefit from the knowhow and experience Sri Lanka has acquired. The meeting culminated with the exchange of mementoes to mark the visit.
